1953 Colonial National Invitation Badge - Won by Ben Hogan

Brilliant near mint condition employee badge with rich blue coloring intact as black lettering reverses out of this simple designed two color admission pass. It is hoped that this 2 1/4" diameter inch badge offered the employee an opportunity to view Ben Hogan at sometime during the week of the 1953 Colonial National. If they did get to witness Hogan they would have seen artistry with the golf club at its height. The 1953 season was the crowning moment of Hogan's career with him capturing three Majors (Masters, US Open, British Open) and tournaments total. Free from surface wear this badge retains its original pin backing.
