Perhaps even more importantly, Bobby Jones would by honored by the city of St Andrews and presented the 'Freedom of St Andrews' during his final trip to St Andrews. Jones joined an elite group of only three other individuals to receive the prestigious honor since Benjamin Franklin received it in 1759. Career amateur Bobby Jones was made mobile at the tournament by a special golf buggy, taking in the 1958 United States win hole by hole. It would also represent Bobby Jones' final visit to St Andrews, with his health failing him. Stamps include December 1960 ad October 23 1958.
