1960 Masters Spectator Guide & Pairings Sheets - Jack Nicklaus Low Am & Arnie Win
This collection consists of original paper ephemera from the 1960 Masters Tournament held at Augusta National Golf Club from April 7 to 10. The lot includes an eight-page booklet titled Spectator Suggestions for the Masters Tournament, featuring a course map on the cover, tournament history, and a list of Tournament Records from 1934 through 1959. The text on the cover is attributed to Robert T. Jones, Jr., President. Also included are two separate Pairings and Starting Time sheets. The first is for Thursday, April 7, 1960, and the second is for Friday, April 8, 1960. These sheets list legendary competitors such as Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, and a young Jack Nicklaus. The Friday sheet includes recorded first-day scores, notably showing Arnold Palmer's opening round of 67. The collection is completed by two large-format printed course maps of the Augusta National Golf Club. These sheets include a detailed illustrated map, a scorecard with maximum distances and hole names, and a Special Notice regarding the then-new method of operating the field scoreboards.
