1969 Robert T. Jones III - President Of Country Club Of Pittsfield Barometer Plaque
The son of Bobby Jones, Bobby Jones III, was a dedicated amateur golfer just as his famous father was while also a member at Augusta National Golf Club, Royal and Ancient Golf Club of Saint Andrews and President of the Country Club of Pittsfield in Nashville, Tennessee where he worked as the Vice President of a bank. This barometer plaque was presented to Jones III in appreciation of his service as the Country Club of Pittsfield's leader four years prior to his passing. In a sizeable shadow, Jones III also excelled on the course winning the Atlanta City Junior Championship and playing in three US Amateur Championships and even losing to a young man from Ohio in 1959 named Jack Nicklaus. This German made barometer stands up and has a hanging hook on its top edge.
