1972 Philip Kraczkowski Hudson Pewter Golf Scene Sculpture on Wooden Base
This cast pewter sculpture was manufactured by Hudson Pewter and designed by American artist Philip Kraczkowski. The piece depicts two golfers on a putting green. One figure is in a crouched position, holding a putter and resting a hand on his chin while studying the line of a ball. A second figure stands behind him wearing a fedora-style hat, leaning forward and pointing with one hand. The figures and the textured ground are cast in solid pewter with a natural satin finish. The sculpture is permanently mounted on a rectangular wooden plinth with a dark brown finish and stepped edges. Several marks are visible on the edge of the cast pewter base. The side edge is inscribed with copyright 1972 Philip Kraczkowski. The rear edge is marked U.S.A. and Hudson Pewter in cursive script. The underside of the wooden base features four circular protective felt pads. 6 3/4" X 5" X 6 3/4"
