Aesthetic Classics 42nd Bing Crosby National Pro-Am Sea Lion Ceramic Scotch Whisky Decanter
This ceramic liquor decanter was produced by Aesthetic Classics for the 42nd Bing Crosby National Pro-Am golf tournament held in 1983. The vessel is designed in the form of a stylized sea lion finished in a dark brown glaze, perched upon a textured, tan-colored base resembling a coastal rock. The stopper is shaped as a smaller stone and is held in place by an original red tax stamp. The front of the base features a circular black inset with the text 42nd Crosby in gold script. A gold foil label on the recessed underside identifies the contents as 100 percent Blended Scotch Whisky, Product of Scotland, 86 Proof, 750 ML (25.4 FL. OZ.), imported and bottled by ASI of San Jose, California, and Portland, Oregon. The ball originally on nose is missing. The unglazed interior of the base includes the hand-painted number 508. 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" X 9"
