1984 Bing Crosby 43rd Clambake National Pro-Am Commemorative Amaretto Decanter
This is a limited-edition ceramic amaretto liqueur decanter produced for the 1984 43rd Bing Crosby National Pro-Am, also known as the Crosby Clambake. Hale Irwin was victorious at the 1984 Bing Crosby Clambake Pro-Am in a playoff over Jim Nelford. Presented here is the commemorative decanter from the tournament in excellent condition, rare to find with the ball intact. The decanter is sculpted in the form of a large clam shell with a ridged tan exterior and a smooth peach-colored interior. A dimpled white ceramic golf ball is nestled within the opening of the shell. The piece sits on a dark green, textured base designed to resemble sea moss or turf. The front of the base features a tan label with the stylized script 43rd Crosby Clambake. A gold foil label on the side is printed with Amaretto Liqueur, 40 Proof, 750 ml, and Bottled by Lewis Westco Co., So. San Francisco, CA. The label also features a small crest containing the letters J&J. The underside of the base is hand-numbered 1289/1500 in white ink. The item retains its original red revenue tax stamps across the stopper.
