1992 Nissan LA Open at Riviera CC Caddie Series Badge #00160 - Tiger Woods' Pro Debut
Taking a couple days off of school and heading to the golf course to play in a PGA Tour tournament as a 16 year-old Sophomore in high school sounds like a dream many have had. For 16-year-old Tiger Woods in 1992 it was reality. Playing his first tournament on a sponsor's exemption at Riviera only a half of an hour away, Woods became the youngest male competitor in an official tour event that week. Four years prior to his 'Hello World' professional debut moment at the Greater Milwaukee Open, Tiger Woods could hit it far and was an obvious star in the making - winning his second straight US Junior Amateur in 1992. While the 1992 Nissan Los Angeles Open at Riviera was not a win, this tournament was truly Tiger Woods' coming out party on the professional level. More than likely some of his competitors that week knew that they had to get their wins then before Woods was on the tour to stay.
The green and white credentials badge is that from the limited 'Caddie' access level and is numbered #00160 in gold tone. This badge has been on the short list of 'Debut' tickets and is from the collection of a man on the bag of a competitor that week, Linn Strickler, seeing the historic tournament from inside the ropes with this badge the gateway.

Place your bids now as this auction will close beginning at 10:00pm EDT Sunday, November 27th. When placing your INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bidders in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing at 10pm EDT
Extended bidding starts at 10pm EDT, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
