1994 Grand Slam Ventures Champions of Golf The Masters Collection 1934-1993 Trading Card Set In Binder
Complete historical trading card set titled Champions of Golf: The Masters Collection, published by Grand Slam Ventures. This collection chronicles Masters Tournament champions from the inaugural 1934 tournament through 1993. The set is housed in a forest green padded leatherette three-ring binder. The cover and spine are embossed with the text Champions of Golf and The Masters Collection, accented by a gold-toned plate depicting a line of images. The interior binder covers are finished in black and feature silver-colored facsimile signatures of Masters champions, including Ben Crenshaw, Bernhard Langer, Larry Mize, Ben Hogan, and Arnold Palmer. The collection contains a series of glossy green biographical pages, one for each champion from 1934 (Horton Smith) to 1993 (Bernhard Langer). Each page includes a summary of the player victory, a large gold facsimile signature, and a trading card held within a clear plastic sleeve. Featured legends in this set include Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Gary Player, and Sam Snead. Included components are the original black glossy storage box, the green padded three-ring binder, the complete set of biographical pages and cards, the original registration card welcome/information cards, and the original business reply envelope. This is as complete as can be had with a Grand Slam Ventures set. This would become a staple for golf autograph collectors in the 1990’s and 2000’s.
