1998 The Players Championship Commemorative Silver-Tone Money Clip
A commemorative silver-tone metal money clip produced for the 1998 Players Championship golf tournament. The clip features a circular medallion mounted to a scalloped silver-tone base. The medallion is designed with a purple enamel border inscribed in silver-tone uppercase letters with THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP and the year 1998 at the base. At the center of the medallion is a translucent purple cabochon dome that contains a miniature silver-tone relief representation of the Players Championship trophy. The trophy base includes microscopic text that is present but not legible. The clip is constructed from polished metal with a standard spring-tension design. The reverse side is a plain, polished metal surface with no visible manufacturer marks or hallmarks.
