2014 USGA Bob Jones Award Commemorative Lapel Pin and Invitation Honoring Payne Stewart
This lot consists of a commemorative lapel pin and its original invitation card from the 2014 United States Golf Association (USGA) Bob Jones Award ceremony. The ceremony honored the late professional golfer Payne Stewart. The oval-shaped pin is constructed of silver-tone metal with a central raised relief depicting Stewart in a follow-through golf pose, flanked by the year 2014. The center is surrounded by a white enamel border featuring the raised-letter inscription BOB JONES AWARD and PAYNE STEWART. The base of the pin displays the USGA logo in blue and red enamel. The reverse is secured with a standard metal butterfly clutch fastener. The pin is mounted to a white cardstock invitation. The card text reads: You’re invited to a special celebration honoring the USGA’s 2014 Bob Jones Award recipient, Payne Stewart. It includes event details for Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 5 p.m. in front of the clubhouse, coinciding with the 2014 U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort.
