A Collection of Four Lee Janzen Signed 1993 U.S. Open Clubhouse Admission Badges and Ticket Envelope
This collection consists of four clubhouse admission badges and an original ticket envelope from the 1993 U.S. Open Championship held at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey. Each of the four badges is signed in black felt-tip marker by the tournament champion, Lee Janzen. The badges are dated June 14 (Monday Practice Round), June 15 (Tuesday Practice Round), June 16 (Wednesday Practice Round), and June 21 (Playoff Round). The badges feature the tournament logo with a winged golf ball, the clubhouse designation, and serial number C07468. Each badge retains its original white hanging string. The reverse of each badge includes an assumption of risk statement, the USGA logo, and original pricing of 45.00 dollars for practice rounds and 70.00 dollars for the playoff round. The set is accompanied by the original illustrated ticket envelope, which features a color reproduction of the painting titled The 4th Hole at Baltusrol by artist Linda Hartough. The envelope includes serial number C 07455 on the front and detailed spectator guidelines, parking information, and weather warnings on the reverse.
