Titles from prints between 1946 and 1965 include from famous authors: Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Robert Tyre (Bobby) Jones, Jr., and Arnold Palmer. Please inspect the accompanying lot photos for a detailed condition report.
The first volume is Sam Snead's How to Play Golf, published by Garden City Publishing Co., Inc., Garden City, New York. The title page also credits Professional Tips on Improving Your Score and the Rules of the Game of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R&A. The copyright page identifies a 1946 copyright by Hall Publishing Co. It is bound in green cloth and includes a pictorial dust jacket featuring a monochromatic green-tinted photograph of Snead mid-swing. The interior features numerous black-and-white instructional photographs.
The second volume is Winning Golf by Byron Nelson, published by A. S. Barnes and Company, New York. The copyright page states Copyright, 1946, by A. S. Barnes and Company, Incorporated. The book is bound in tan cloth with a black title block and silver-toned lettering on the front board and spine. The interior contains photographic plates demonstrating grip, stance, and swing techniques.
The third volume is Golf Is My Game by Robert Tyre (Bobby) Jones, Jr. The copyright page indicates copyrights for 1959 and 1960 by Robert Tyre Jones, Jr. It retains its original pictorial dust jacket with a portrait of Jones on the front. The jacket design is credited to Ben Feder, Inc., with a jacket photograph by Pietzcker. The back of the dust jacket provides a biographical summary of Jones's career and academic achievements.
The fourth volume is My Game and Yours by Arnold Palmer, published by Simon and Schuster, New York. This copy is identified on the copyright page as a Sixth Printing with copyrights for 1963 and 1965. It features a green cloth spine and marbled green boards with a gold-toned facsimile of Arnold Palmer's signature on the lower right of the front cover. The book was designed by Eve Metz and manufactured in the United States of America.
