A Collection of Six Robert Sommers USGA Professional Golf Memorabilia Items
This group consists of six (6) USGA items formerly belonging to Robert Sommers, a notable editor for the USGA and golf historian. The lot features a weighted pewter jar with a fitted lid, showcasing a central medallion of the USGA seal. The body is engraved 1977 / U. S. Open / Rules Committee. Also included is a sterling silver commemorative medal suspended from a bicolored red and blue ribbon. The top metal bar is embossed PUBLIC INFORMATION MANAGER. The face of the medal depicts the USGA seal, and the reverse is engraved ROBERT SOMMERS / 1966 and stamped with STERLING. A gold-tone shield-shaped pin with USGA Press at the top and is engraved ROBERT SOMMERS on the bottom bar. The collection also contains a gold-tone rectangular USGA money clip engraved with the name ROBERT SOMMERS. Finally, two circular bronze-tone paperweights each featuring a raised relief USGA seal and finished with green felt on the reverse.

Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and all lots will begin closing with their own separate 30-minute countdown clock. Each lot will get its own 30 minute clock, which will extend by 30 minutes any time that lot receives a bid during extended bidding.
