A Set of MacGregor Coca-Cola 100th Anniversary Centennial Celebration Golf Clubs and Staff Bag
Here's a commemorative golf set and matching staff bag produced by MacGregor for the Coca-Cola 100th Anniversary Centennial Celebration (1886-1986). The collection comprises a trio of woods and a group of irons housed in a coordinated red and white synthetic leather staff bag. The three woods feature black-finished persimmon-style heads with decorative face inserts in red and natural wood grain secured by four screws. The soles of the woods are marked with a stamped logo consisting of a script "Coca-Cola" logo, a stylized "100" with interlocking circles, "CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION," and "MacGregor." Each wood is marked with a numeral to indicate its type: "1," "3," or "5." The shafts are stepped steel. The group of irons consists of polished chrome-plated blades. The back of each clubhead is marked with a printed red "Coca-Cola" script logo, "100 CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION," and "MacGregor" on the hosel. The iron soles are marked with numerals "3" through "9" and a "P." All clubs are fitted with black rubber grips featuring a green herringbone pattern and the molded name "MacGregor." The staff bag is constructed of red and white vinyl with the "Coca-Cola" script logo on the side panels. A metal plate on the top collar is engraved with the signature "Jack Nicklaus." The front ball pocket includes a clear plastic sleeve containing a printed "100 CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION" insert. The handle and base area are marked with "MacGregor.".
