An Assortment of U.S. Open Badges, Memorabilia with Signatures of Champions Steve Jones, Lou Graham, and Tony Jacklin
This collection features an assortment of U.S. Open golf badges and memorabilia, including tournament-issued pins and signed ephemera from three U.S. Open Champions. The grouping includes a rectangular metal 1996 U.S. Open Championship Media Guest pin for the tournament held at Oakland Hills Country Club. The face is printed with Media Guest and the number 322, and it is hand-signed across the face in black sharpie by 1996 champion Steve Jones. A round gold-tone metal 75th U.S. Open Championship guest badge from the 1975 tournament at Medinah Country Club is printed with 150 GUEST and hand-signed on the face in black marker by 1975 champion Lou Graham. A round red metal 70th U.S. Open press pin from the 1970 tournament at Hazeltine National Golf Club is printed with PRESS and the number 381. This pin is hand-signed twice in black markerby 1970 champion Tony Jacklin, with one signature on the front face and another on the metal reverse. Completing the assortment is a tri-fold paper pamphlet titled Steve Jones: Winning Isn't Everything. The pamphlet is hand-signed on the front cover in black marker by Steve Jones. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed each of the signatures in this lot and their auction house letter of authenticity comes with this offering.
