Arnold Palmer and Julius Boros Dual Signed Francis Ouimet ArtCraft First Day Cover JSA #AF68305
This official ArtCraft First Day of Issue (FDC) commemorative envelope was released in 1988 as part of the American Sports Series honoring Francis D. Ouimet, recognized as America's first golfing hero. The green-toned cachet on the left side features a portrait of Ouimet, winner of the 1913 U.S. Open, along with an image of him on the course with his caddy. The envelope is hand-signed in black ink by two legendary figures in the sport of golf, Arnold Palmer and Julius Boros. A block of four United States 25-cent postage stamps featuring Francis Ouimet is affixed to the right, canceled with a Brookline, Massachusetts, postmark dated June 13, 1988, and a First Day of Issue stamp. The reverse of the envelope features a James Spence Authentication (JSA) tamper-evident oval certification label with the alphanumeric code AF68305.
