Augusta National Golf Club Pewter Golf Tankard - Made in England
Here we have another gem from Augusta National Golf Club, a pewter golf tankard depicting the layout of the storied course. The pewter tankard was made in Sheffield, England and displays the hole layout on the front of the item, with a scorecard featured on the backside. The tankard stands 5 1/8" tall with a bottom diameter of 4 1/8". Top diameter is 3 1/4". Above the course layout on the front of the tankard it reads:
Bobby Jones set about creating a dream course
incorporating some of the characteristics of the great golf
holes he had played during his career.
The result was Augusta National founded in 1931.
It is the permanent home of the U.S. Masters Golf Tournament
The winner of which receives the traditional green jacket.
