Bobby Jones Original 1930's Art Work Photograph Used for Alex Morrison Book
Long before the days of editing photographs on the computer or phone application, media outlets would have to use paints for outlines, highlights and enhancing a photograph's appearance. The esteemed golf instructor Alex Morrison rubbed elbows with many of the game's best players. Morrison taught Henry Picard who taught Jack Grout, who taught Jack Nicklaus. Morrison was behind all of it, and much more as his teachings were in numerous books and newspapers for the masses. Contributing to one of his instructional books was the swing of the great Bobby Jones, with this original follow through photograph used in that publication. As mentioned prior, to enhance the background of this photo, grey and white hues were added to the photographs with a paintbrush. Bobby Jones' legacy from playing East Lake in Atlanta as a youngster to growing up and winning the Grand Slam of Golf in 1930, to building his dream course of Augusta National Golf Club, has been well documented. Unsurprisingly, Jones continues to be one of the most sought after figures in the golf memorabilia industry. 6 1/2" x 10”
