Two of golf's greatest players are featured in this lot with this Bobby Jones signed and personalized inscription to Gene Sarazen on Jones' 'Bobby Jones on Golf' book. This one of a kind collectors piece shows how Jones signed in his later years, a labored effort which is evident in the writing and autograph. Being diagnosed with syringomyelia in 1948, a fluid cavity in his spinal cord which led to paralysis, Jones' mobility and appearances become more scarce and eventually he was restricted to a wheelchair, making his later signatures hard to come across. Here he writes to his longtime golf partner, Sarazen, in a copy of his book. Sarazen is one of five golfers to earn the elusive Career Grand Slam, and hoists seven major championship trophies. Sarazen has also been credited with putting the Masters Tournament on the map with his Double Eagle on Hole #15 en route to the 1935 title. The book is in great condition, showing only slight wear along the borders of the slip cover.
