Here we offer a unique ACME Wire Photograph from 1932 catching Bobby Jones’ father playing golf at Augusta. We have not seen many golf playing photographs of the elder Mr. Jones so this one will surely whet your appetite to bid early and often.
Caption reads: When Father Follows The Son Emulating his famous son, Colonel Robert T. Jones, father of the famous Bobby, smacks one far down the fairway at the Augusta Country Club Links, Augusta, GA. Col. Jones is an ardent golfer and may often be seen paired with his son in a foursome. While the caption makes reference to Augusta CC it is quite conceivable they meant Augusta National since it was open for play in 1932. The image also lends itself to possibly show one of the famous cabins in the background. 6" x 8"
