2020 December Memorabilia Auction ~ ~ Ends Dec 13th
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/14/2020
Circa 1800 Chole Golf Club - Single Forged Head on Hickory Shaft
This circa 1800's Chole club is certainly unlike any many golf fans have ever seen before. The elongated face would be for driving while the other curved/hooked end is for shots that need some loft. Golf is believed to have been derived from a game called “chole”, a form of hockey that started gaining popularity in Belgium in the middle of the 14th century. An extraordinary club with it's own very unique history, a sure conversation starter as part of any collection. The club offered here measures 38" to the heel and comes in great condition.
Thank you to all of our worldwide bidders and consignors for your support throughout the year. Please enjoy our final auction of 2020, it will come to an end this Sunday, December 13th at 9pm EST. Stay safe and be well, happy bidding! – The Golf Auction
