Circa 1860-1895 McEwen Splice Neck Long Nose - Prominent Head Stamp
McEwan was one of the premier golf club makers of his time. This offering is for a long nost club from 1860-1895 that carries a prominent, dark head stamp of McEwen's. When viewing the club head from above it appears as if its a concave face. Fair to good condition, blemishes in the top of the shaft, with overall wear on club head. Presentation value of this antique golf club is high, as it has the St Andrews bend that the grain direction was known for causing. "23" is written on the head, a marking that could easily be removed if necessary. The head measures 4 1/2" long, 1 3/4" wide and 1" thick. 40" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel. Pictures included in this listing act as an additional condition report. If you would like any additional pictures of the club please ask prior to November 21st.
