Circa 1970's Masters Tournament 'Extra Day' Ticket #179 - Unique
This round paper ticket circa 1970's was produced for the possible playoff round scenario if it should come in to play with two or more leading golfers with an equal amount of strokes taken after 72 holes. The Masters Tournament had seen this come to fruition seven times from its innagural playing in 1934 until the end of the 1970's in which Indiana native Fuzzy Zoeller was crowned champion in 1979. This #179 ticket is in near mint condition, likely slipped into a Masters Spectator guide or other storage area to protect its crisp condition almost fifty years later. "Extra Day Ticket" is printed across the middle of the front in bold jet black lettering. From a new consigner, a life long resident of Augusta, GA.
