First edition copy of The Golf Courses of the British Isles by Bernard Darwin, published in 1910 by Duckworth & Co. at 3 Henrietta Street, Covent Garden, London. This octavo volume is bound in the original dark green cloth. The front cover features gilt-stamped titles and Art Nouveau-style floral ornaments in light green, including a central thistle motif. The spine is decorated with gilt lettering and three vertical lines accented with light green emblems of a shamrock, a rose, and a thistle. The reverse of the title page bears the statement Published 1910. The work is illustrated with 64 full-page color plates from watercolor paintings by Harry Rountree, each accompanied by a captioned tissue guard.
