Small Splice Head Spoon - head stamped "Donald J Ross" in script. Overall excellent condition as shown in accompanying lot photos, straight shaft, tight original grip. Oakley, MA & Pinehurst, NC. Known as the first U.S. architect to really design courses; Ross worked on over 500 in the United States. He came to Pinehurst in 1901 and was based there till his death in 1948. While there he designed and built Pinehurst Nos. 2, 3, and 4 courses. He also designed Oakland Hills, Seminole, Inverness, Scioto and Oak Hill. 41"
