Faldo & Watson Signed Sports Illustrated Magazine & Photos
This collection of professional golf memorabilia features three signed items from two legendary major champions, Tom Watson and Sir Nick Faldo. The group includes a signed Sports Illustrated magazine and two signed color photographs.
The magazine is the July 25, 1983, issue of Sports Illustrated titled Watson Takes The Fifth, commemorating Tom Watson's fifth British Open victory. The cover features Watson holding the Claret Jug and is signed in blue felt-tip ink. The signature is placed over the subject's shirt. An original mailing label addressed to a recipient in Long Beach, California, is affixed to the lower left corner.
The first photograph is a color action shot of Tom Watson playing from a sand trap. It is signed in the lower left in blue felt-tip ink. The reverse of the photograph features repeating Kodak paper logos and a printed processing code dated August 28, 1987.
The second photograph is a color action shot of Nick Faldo completing a golf swing. The image is inscribed Best Wishes and signed in black felt-tip ink. The reverse of the photograph is marked with repeating AGFA logos and a handwritten numerical notation.
