Gene Sarazen's Masters Used Wilson Signed Bag-Circa 1994 to 98-JSA ALOA

This lot comes to our winning bidder in Near mint condition with a bold black sharpie signature from Gene Sarazen on his personal Wilson Staff golf bag. Also with this lot comes a letter of provenance in the hand of highly esteemed collector Wayne Aaron which he describes a meeting with Gene Sarazen during the Sarazen World Open at Chateau Elan, "Mr. Sarazen stated that this bag was used by him at one of his last "Driving Off" events at the Masters." The timeline for this meeting and the style of the Wilson bag aligns well with the Sarazen World Open being conducted from 1994-98 at Chateau Elan and the featured colors on this bag matching closely with the cavity of the 1995 Wilson Staff Mid Size Firestick line of irons. We display a photo of Sarazen, Byron Nelson and Sam Snead on the first tee each with a Wilson golf bag as was their yearly custom in this time frame. The bag was often changed from year to year by Wilson staff members to advertise current year product. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the Sarazen autograph on this golf bag, and they provide a letter of authenticity with the lot.
