Jack Nicklaus Signed 1963 Masters Tournament 14 Karat Gold Pin
As a willing signer for those fortunate enough to meet him, what hasn't Jack Nicklaus added his iconic scribe to? This 1963 14k gold pin in the shape of the Augusta National logo presented to select individuals during his first Masters would be a correct answer to that question. The front of the vintage pin features a textured surface with the engraved state boundaries and a golf flag and the flagstick positioned over Georgia of course. Green enamel accents the flagstick and the southern border of the map. The center of the pin bears a signature of THE GOLDEN BEAR and 1963 Masters champion, Jack Nicklaus. The reverse of the pin is embossed with the following transcriptions: MASTERS / 1963 and SPAULDING & CO / 14K. The piece is equipped with a horizontal pin stem and a rotating safety-catch clasp. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
