In 2000, Jack Nicklaus at 60 competed in his final British Open. That years Championship was fittingly played at St. Andrews. As Jack walked over the Swilken Bridge at 18 for the last time as a competitor, he received a well deserved thunderous ovation. It was a long journey since his first round at the Brit played in 1962 at Royal Troon. In the end he had claimed three British Open Championships (1966,70,78). Offered in this lot is a 2000 British Open flag from the closing chapter in Jack's British career. Signed in black sharpie there is some slight feathering on the "J" in his initial pen stroke. This flag will come with a letter of authenticity from one of the leading authenticators in the business, JSA.
