Johnny Miller's 1973 US Open Replica Winning Iron Set w/Signed 2-Iron & Oakmont '63' Putter

It's hard to believe that the suave blonde haired Johnny Miller's unprecedented final round carding of 63 was more than 50 years ago. With the US Open returning to Oakmont, it's time to revisit that day. The story starring Miller, who much of the current generation knows primarily as a rather blunt golf analyst, shooting the first 63 in major championship history to rally and win by a single shot took yet another unlikely turn when Miller owned up to the lack of technology in his bag later. “It was the oldest set of clubs [in relation] to the year it was played on Tour in the history of golf,” said Miller.

In '73 Miller carried the famous "prehistoric" MacGregor Tourney set in his green and white MacGregor staff bag. Inspired by the story in his line of craft, esteemed club maker and customizer Ken Flanigan, Founder, Designer and President of Flanigan Bilt Putters Company custom built this set of clubs with the help of Johnny Miller himself. Exact specifications from Johnny Miller's measurements, with matching swing weights for irons, matching the cuts, lofts, lies, grips, down to the double tape right hand, shaft labels, and 'Johnny Miller' stamps on short irons is this replica set. Miller, approving and impressed with now friend Flanigan's work, we happy to sign the 2-iron with date of completion celebrating the feat's 50 year anniversary. Sand Wedge is matching of 8 and PW instead of 1959 Wilson DynaPower. Set breakdown matching Miller's own set: 2-7 Irons: 1945 MacGregor Tommy Armour Silver Scott 915T, True Temper Dynamic S-Flex, 8-SW (8-10 Irons): 1972 MacGregor Tourney Custom, True Temper Dynamic S-Flex w/ 'JOHNNY MILLER' stamp, Putter: Custom stamped 63, 1973, Oakmont squirrel logo Bullseve.
