Seve Ballesteros Signed Lakewood Country Club Scorecard - Site of '85 New Orleans Open Win PSA/DNA #83957778
In robust, black sharpie the late Seve Ballesteros added his full-name signature to the front of this Lakewood Country Club scorecard. The longtime New Orleans Open's host Lakewood Country Club boasts a list of former champions that includes Hall of Famers Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Tom Watson. in 1985 28-year-old Seve Ballesteros wanted to join that list, one paralleling Open Championship and Masters past winners. New Orleans based Crescent City Sports remembered Seve's victory at the 1985 New Orleans Open best. "In 1985 at Lakewood, Seve lived up to all of the quotes. He did hit it everywhere, did get it up-and-down from everywhere and did make crucial putts. Due to rain, the tournament was shortened to 54 holes. Ballesteros had scores of 68-69-68 to beat John Mahaffey and Peter Jacobsen by two strokes. Seve collected 91 professional victories but only five on American soil including two wins at The Masters. Ballesteros liked New Orleans as he was proud to say, 'I like your food, I like your city." PSA/DNA has reviewed this signature and they have encapsulated this scorecard with an 'Authentic' signature grade.

All items with multiple bidders in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing at 10pm EDT
Extended bidding starts at 10pm EDT, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
