1994 The Memorial Tournament Book Honoring Mickey Wright - Mark Brooks Collection
The special limited edition Memorial Tournament Book #179/200 from the Mark Brooks collection honored Mickey Wright in 1994. Mickey Wright dominated the LPGA tour in the late 1950's and 1960's. This domination was so complete that the Associated Press named her the Female Athlete of the Year in both 1963 and 1964. The World Golf Hall of Famer notched the Women's career grand slam on the way to her 13 Major titles (second all-time to Patty Berg). During the 2000's both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine ranked Wright as the Top Woman Player of All-Time.
We at The Golf Auction are proud to have the opportunity to represent Mark and Cynthia Brooks in the auctioning of items from their collection of golf books, art work and mementos assembled over a PGA career which began in 1983 and has encompassed a remarkable 799 career PGA tournaments. This great run of golf at its highest level has been highlighted by seven PGA Tour wins, his play as a victorious member of the 1996 United States Presidents Cup team, and of course his Major triumph at the 1996 PGA Championship.
