1920 'The Golf Swing - The Ernest Jones Method' By Daryn Hammond
Ernest Jones had a penchant for golf instruction, more so after serving in World War I and losing his leg. He found he was still able to play a respectable round of golf, even though his body and they way he played had drastically changed. he moved to New York City in the early 1920's as a club professional and began giving indoor golf lessons, as it kept the student from being distracted by the loft of the ball. Some of Jones' notable students included Horton Smith, Henry Cotton, and Glenna Collett Vare. Offered here for vintage golf collectors is the 1920 book 'The Golf Swing - The Ernest Jones Method' by author Daryn Hammond.
