Champion Curtis Strange inked this celebration photo by the cover subject in blue sharpie with his 'sit-down signature.' The 1989 U.S. Open was a thrilling golfing battle at Oak Hill Country Club. Curtis Strange exhibited remarkable precision and resilience, becoming the first player since Ben Hogan to clinch back-to-back U.S. Open titles. 'Move Over Ben' the recapping Sports Illustrated issue declared on the cover. This is a photo copy of that magazine cover with the inscription '1989 US Open.' James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. 8" x 10"
