Ralph Guldahl & Babe Zaharias 1948 All-American Golf Tournament Course Records Original AP Press Photo
Not one, but two course records would be carded at the 1948 All-American Tournament. Both sides of the gender isle participated in the George May promoted high-dollar spectacle. Multi-major winner Ralph Guldahl went lower than anyone on the course ever before with his 64 in the first round, while the legendary Babe Zaharias matched the men's par of 72 and set a course record for the women as well. This crystal clear photo with a close shot of the record breakers contains its original caption on the verso, along with the Chicago Daily News Apr 12 1971 timestamp. 10 7/8" x 11 1/4"
