Merion Golf Club Stein With Wicker Basket Pin
Merion Golf Club has hosted an array of significant tournaments in the nearly 120 years of it's existence. Home to 5 US Opens, including the 1950 US Open where Ben Hogan made his incredible comeback from the near-fatal car accident, and the 1971 US Open that saw Trevino defeat Nicklaus in a playoff. Merion has also hosted a slew of men's and women's Amateur Opens, including the 1924 and 1930 Amateurs won by Bobby Jones. Here we have a ceramic stein with its patented wicker basket pin and its establishment date of 1896 just below. The stein presents in excellent condition. 6" x 4" x 5 3/4"
