1932 Pinehurst Sterling Putting Contest Trophy
The Pinehurst Resort and area is known as the home of American golf. The USGA experience and World Golf of of Fame just opened in Pinehurst and has solidified that claim. Here we have a sterling Pinehurst resort weekly putting contest trophy awarded on March 19 1932. It was won by Mrs. Charles R. White. The trophy is a beautiful four sided fruit compote with the Pinehurst emblem on one side and this inscription to the opposite side ; “ Weekly Putting Contest, Pinehurst N. C., March 19 ’32.
