Royal & Ancient St. Andrews 1972-1973 Member Directory
Offered in this lot is a 1972-1973 Member Directory from the famed Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf clubs in the world, known as the the worldwide "Home of Golf." The club once was the one of the governing authorities of golf, until a newly formed group of companies, known as the R&A, took over this role in the early 2000s. The R&A organizes 11 championships and international matches, most notably the Open Championship and serves as the the ruling authority of golf throughout the world, excluding the U.S. and Mexico, except for their connection with the USGA in producing and revising the "Rules of Golf." The directory is in great condition.
