Tony Lema Signed Cut with 1964 Sports Illustrated Magazine

This lot features signatures from two winners of majors in 1964, along with a 1964 Sports Illustrated magazine. The March 23, 1964 SI issue showcases Tony Lema after his Open Championship win. Lema's signed cut comes with this lot, with Bobby Nichols signature on the reverse side. Both golfers autographs are in blue ink. Lema won his only major championship at the 1964 Open Championship before his career was cut short by a tragic plane accident in 1966 at age 32. Nichols' autograph is included, and he won the 1964 PGA Championship, his lone major.

James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the autographs and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
