Cary Middlecoff Signed Color Print Page

One of the most underrated golfers in the history of the game was Cary Middlecoff, despite his three majors and World Golf Hall of Fame status. A reason for this oversite may have been the short window that he was at the top of his game, and maybe that he was overshadowed by flashier stories in the 1950's, mainly Ben Hogan and Sam Snead. In this time, Middlecoff won the 1949 & 1956 U.S. Open and the 1955 Masters. His 28 PGA Tour titles set the standard for for most victories by any player in the 1950's; he would finish with 40 total, good enough for tenth on the all-time Tour win list. He leaves his signature boldly in blue Sharpie on this 8 1/2" x 11 1/2" color print page.

James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
