1955 Open Championship at St. Andrews Press Badge - Peter Thomson Winner
Offered in this lot is a press badge from the 1955 Open Championship at the Old Course at St. Andrews. The badge, which measures 2 1/4" diameter, shows signs of age but would still present nicely in your collection. Peter Thomson made a living winning the Open, and he won his second of three consecutive Open Championships in 1955. Thomson won a total of five Claret Jugs, his only major wins.
