Jack Nicklaus 5lb RBS Note - R&A Club of St. Andrews 250th Anniversary - Original Case
An item worth more than the 5 lb. note it represents, this lot features a Jack Nicklaus Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) 5 lb. note with its original case from the R&A Club of St. Andrews 250th Anniversary. It is uncommon for an American to grace the front of an RBS note, but when you win three British Opens (two at St. Andrews) and become the RBS Ambassador of Golf, exceptions are made. These notes were issued to celebrate the Golden Bear's remarkable career, and it marks the first British banknote to celebrate a living non-royal individual.
