The beautiful Pine Valley Golf Club has never played host to a major championship due to spacial concerns and accommodating crowds that flock the major tournaments, but the course is perennially ranked among the top courses in the world. Pine Valley was ranked the number one course in Golf Magazine's Top 100 Courses in the U.S. and World in both 2012 and 2015. The reverse side of the plate reads:
