1934 Golf Illustrated Magazine - February

Cover photo depicts Forest Hills in Augusta ,GA, the Donald Ross course which opened in 1926. Tracing its history to Bobby Jones play. In recent years it has hosted college tournaments with Phil Mickelson and Davis Love III as contested. It is currently regarded as the best public course in Augusta. Inside of publication contains articles that include 'What of the Player Pro?' and 'Points of a Golf Stick' by Gene Sarazen. It would be interesting with closer examination to see if that other course in Augusta, the National is mentioned as holding there first Invitational at the end of March in 1934. Some tape along outside binding, center binding remains strong, and cover depicting Forest Hills remains visually pleasing.
