Lee Trevino Signed 1972 Open Championship at Muirfield Program
The Royal and Ancient routinely depicts the past years champion golfer on the cover of the next years official program. Which is great except for the collector of winners on programs as you often have a player signing over the image of another player (i.e. David Duval in 2001 signing over Tiger picture as depicted on cover of '01 program). It sure was nice in 1972 when Lee Trevino defended his British Open title with a one stroke victory over Jack Nicklaus at Muirfield. Here we find a collectors dream, Lee Trevino adding his signature to the 1972 Open program cover which depicts his win at the 1971. You made me "Merry" with this one Mex!
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph from Lee Trevino, and their paperwork of authenticity will come with this lot.
