Tom Watson Signed 1977 Open Championship PRESS Arm Band #25 - 'Duel in the Sun'

Tom Watson had Jack Nicklaus' number in the 1977 calendar year, following up a Masters Tournament victory over the Golden Bear by winning the 1977 Open Championship over Nicklaus in what is known as the 'Duel in the Sun.' Watson would win the tournament, held for the first time at Turnberry, by a single stroke in what some have called the greatest Major ever played. In this lot, we have a 1977 Open Championship Press arm band #25, signed by the tournament winner. Watson signed the band in black Sharpie and the arm band has maintained its great condition.

James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed Watson's autograph and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
