1969 The Danny Thomas Diplomat Golf Classic - Held Only Once - Arnold Palmer Winner
The 1969 Danny Thomas-Diplomat Classic was a one-year event on the PGA Tour, but it did lead to a long running event which generated a lot of money for charity beginning the next season (the Danny Thomas Memphis Classic played 1970-84). In the inaugural golf event for Danny Thomas played at south Florida's Diplomat Presidential Country Club, Arnold Palmer shot 18 under par to win by two strokes over Gay Brewer for the 56th of what would be 62 career wins for Arnie. Program from this event is offered here in fully intact, Excellent condition.
