Babe Didrickson (Zaharias) Signed Original A.P. Wire Photo
"The Babe" was a 10 time LPGA Major winner and as Charles McGrath of The New York Times wrote "Except perhaps for Arnold Palmer, no golfer has ever been more beloved by the gallery." Babe was an athlete her whole life, earning 3 Olympic medals in Los Angeles 1932, silver for the high jump and gold for both the javelin throw and the 80 m hurdles. Offered here is an original A.P. wire photo of Mildred "Babe" Didrickson playing pool with her manager. Babe signed and inscribed the photograph as follows:
"To Keith
Very best wishes
Babe Didrickson"
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
