Walter Hagen & Gene Sarazen Signed Photo Framed Presentation
This framed Walter Hagen and Gene Sarazen piece features two of the most successful golfers of the 1920's and 1930's, and ever, time-period pencil signatures on the same page that are framed nicely with three black and white photographs. Adding to the intrigue of this dual signed piece is the well known fact that Hagen and Sarazen, while being very successful golfers during the same time period, had their differences. Walter Hagen allegedly chose not to take part in the 1922 PGA Championship, simply to avoid a head-to-head match-up with the younger Sarazen who won that year's US Open. This piece measures 21" by 24." James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed these signatures and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
